職人の想いがこもった「クラフトコーヒー」とは

The Artisan Spirit of "Craft Coffee"

In recent years, you may have noticed an increase in the use of the term "craft" in various contexts, such as handmade items or small-batch brewery beers.

Originally, the English word "craft" means "skill" or "technique." It makes sense to use the term for products that showcase the creator's craftsmanship.

In the world of coffee, there is a category called "craft coffee." To create a delicious cup of coffee, not only the person who brews it is important, but also the skills of the coffee roaster handling the beans are crucial. Anyone can roast beans if they have the right equipment, but to determine the optimal roast level for the desired cup of coffee, one must sharpen their senses and accumulate experience.

TAISETSU Coffee started as "Roaster Coaster," a café offering house-roasted coffee. As the name suggests, the owner, Karl, personally roasts carefully selected green coffee beans. He developed the individually packaged drip coffee so that people could enjoy it easily at home. Furthermore, to incorporate the significance of being made in Higashikawa Town, a small town in Hokkaido, the packaging features photographs of Hokkaido's nature taken by local photographers. You can find an introduction to these photographers in this article.

TAISETSU Coffee's craft coffee is made with the intention of being enjoyed during special moments. Please enjoy it as a treat for yourself, as a relaxing time with your family, or as a gift for someone special.
