Gifts also have a

Gifts also have a "purpose"

When you give a gift, have you ever considered the impact your choice of gift has?

As the term "SDGs" has become more widely recognized, an increasing number of people are choosing products and services that have a positive impact on the environment and society in their daily lives.
This new consumption behavior is called "ethical consumption" and refers to consumption actions that consider people, society, regions, and the environment, including regional revitalization and employment.
(*From the Consumer Affairs Agency website)

For example, choosing the following products falls under ethical consumption:
・A produces less waste than B
・Avoiding products made by exploiting children in developing countries
・A portion of the product price goes towards forest conservation activities, etc.

Why not incorporate such a mindset into your gift-giving?

At TAISETSU coffee, we are running a project for businesses called the GO-EN Project.

What is the GO-EN Project?

The GO-EN Project combines the meanings of [go-en (緣, fate/connection)] and [go-en (五円, five yen)], with the desire to "connect fate and five yen to environmental conservation." It is an activity where you can give drip coffee that supports environmental activities in place of greetings or souvenirs.

The product is drip coffee in an original TAISETSU coffee package, placed in a special gift box. The box can also include the name of the sender's company (limited to orders of 100 boxes or more).
Five yen from each pack of drip coffee is donated to organizations that are working to solve global issues such as environmental problems and labor issues in developing countries.

As the end of the year approaches, many of you will be visiting clients you owe a debt of gratitude to.
How about adding the GO-EN Project's "coffee gift for everyone" to that occasion?
Company calendars with company names, common among Japanese companies, are also good, but it is not uncommon for some of them to be discarded unused. That, indeed, is a "waste."

I believe that by slightly changing your souvenir, you can also send a message to your clients to consider our planet a little more.
