About Tono-kun (Shiba Inu)

About the Photographer

Natsumi Handa - Born in Asahikawa, Hokkaido in 1986. While working as a nurse, she photographs Hokkaido's wildlife on her days off and after night shifts. She began photography in 2013 and has won numerous awards in domestic and international photo contests, including second place in the Country Award (Japan) at the "Sony World Photography Awards 2017." She has published photo books 'Pirka' and 'Kamuy,' capturing the beautiful fur, adorable expressions, and vital activities of animals.

Tono-kun stands proudly in the winter landscape of Hokkaido. The white snow and the Shiba Inu's fur create a beautiful contrast.
